Moleskine Update
It’s been nearly three months since I’ve posted anything about my moleskine, so just in case you’re wondering what I’ve been doing with it lately:
First, I’ve put up a Moleskine page on my lit blog (or is it a mini-shrine?). Needless to say, writing on the notebook has been a real treat. In the coming weeks I’ll be posting more of my made on moleskine works on Slip of the Pen.
Second, one of my poems has been featured on the popular Moleskinerie.com (thanks to sir Armand Frasco!). I actually got stuck coming up with the accompanying picture, and I was saved by my alibata necklace (familiar symbol?). Incidentally, the inaugural page on my notebook was written half in alibata (see the Sic Parvis Magna entry).
Speaking of alibata, you can read my related post on online alibata translators. Right now I’m using a photocopied cheat sheet, which came free with my alibata necklace (made from carabao bone and refined by the hands of my fellow Akeanons) from Boracay.

Whoa. You actually read and write Alibata (di baleng may cheat sheet)? Dude you rock.

Haha, thanks Jorge. Though I have a handful of friends whose alibata skills are years ahead of mine…and AFAIK, they don’t use a cheat sheet!

Somebody tell me why the “S” of Alibata is so much like the beta “ß” (Alt+225/ß/ß/latin small letter sharp s = ess-zed) in German, also pronounced as “ss”, as in Weiß/Weiss Kreuz (White Cross)—yes, the anime/manga. Now that would be a cool feature. *evil grin*
Oh, and you should get a second Alibata necklace for your moleskine. Have you named it yet? (I didn’t and have no reason to.)

Ia, yeah, that has made me ponder every now and then. And speaking of a second alibata necklace — I plan to get one next time I’m in Boracay.
The moleskine’s name is rather uninspiring: “mol-eh-skin-ah”.

Seriously? You named your moleskine “mol-eh-skin-ah”? Hahahahaha. >:P

Well…it’s not a ‘formal name’ like Corsarify for my laptop…I’d still like to call it the Moleskine, as simple as that.
