iPod Nano 2nd Gen Skins, Finally
For a few months after I bought my iPod Nano, I couldn’t find the right skins for it. As late as December 14 of last year, there weren’t skins and cases for the second generation of iPod Nanos, at least in the Philippines. (Because of their slight physical differences with the first generation, the new Nanos don’t fit that well with old cases.)
Chances are I didn’t do enough searching, but I did burn my sneakers’ soles scouring SM North Edsa, SM Megamall (and a tech fair held within), and Powerplant Mall. So I was mightily pleased when I dropped by the Apple Computer Center at SM North Edsa last week and, lo and behold — they finally had iPod Nano 2nd gen silicone skins.
As is obvious with my blog color schemes (see Slip of the Pen and my main site), I’m a sucker for red-and-black, hence my choice for my first iPod skin. At 1200 pesos, this one’s actually one of the most expensive skins at the Center; you can buy a set of three sleek cases for only two thousand.
Even with this 2nd gen skin, I’m still eyeing a red iPod Nano…though I think I’ll lunge first for a MacBook Pro.
Speaking of iPods, check out this YouTube video of an intrepid soul dissecting his iPod video. So, iPod hard drives are proudly “Made in Philippines [sic]“, eh? (Does that justify placing this post under my Philippine Pride category?) I’m getting behind on the news!
