New Model Aircraft Blog Takes Off

aircraft models crux headerA week after overhauling the design of this blog, I’m raising the curtains on my latest web project — Aircraft Models Crux, the place where I document my newfound addiction passion for miniature model aircraft.

As a child, I’ve always been intrigued by how airplanes work, how their sleek bodies slice through the winds, how they soar above the grudgery of the human mess below. Yep, the kid who’s afraid of heights is actually amazed by these cloud-conquerors.

Sadly, with the emergence of writing, PC games, and blogging as my primary hobbies, my interest in planes didn’t amount to anything save for the usual chills and thrills before every airplane ride and every trip to the airport. That’s until December 4, 2006.

On that day, I took home my first aircraft model — a Qatar Airways A330-300 sporting a special livery of the 15th Asian Games. The following days saw me buying four more model planes, and with that, I decided to open a new blog dedicated to this new hobby.

I’ve got two entities to thank for the new blog. First is Ia, who designed the site’s sexy header image. Second is my job (freelancing + company work-from-home position), which enabled me to finally afford little luxuries such as aircraft miniatures (not to mention moleskines).

With that said, go visit my budding collection of aircraft models if you have the time. And — watch out for another site of mine that will hopefully open within this week! (Sheesh, am I busy or what? Hehe.)

Eh, be thankful I didn’t use a shade of red (or a black-and-something theme) for this new blog :P On second thought…I did that already with a couple! Am suprised by myself. Hm. (Excuse my mugged brain, hehe.)
