Stellified Laptop, Laptop of Stellify
This is one of those posts where you just want to talk about other people and their gadgets. Congrats to my dear friend and colleague Ia Lucero for finally getting herself a brand-new laptop, which she has christened Risk. Believe it or not, Ia bought her new toy while Typhoon Milenyo (Xangsane) was brutalizing the metropolis! Talk about risk, indeed.
Ia’s Blue M636/A737 notebook just comes on the heels of her soft launch of Stellify.net. Finally, a personal blog slash online portfolio! (Qwerky is not personal, Ia. And do finish your portfolio soon, hehe.)
Ia’s Risk and my very own Corsarify got to ‘meet up’ last Thursday, when I had to go to SM Cyberzone and fix a demented hard drive. The two laptops had contrasting looks — mine has that sleek, white appearance while Risk is a black thing of beauty (morena?). Being a good 10K more expensive than my laptop, Risk had slightly better specs and (in my opinion) better chassis and built-in speakers. (The laptop to the left shows that save for the defective hard disk, Corsarify’s still fine — proudly brandishing our Isulong SEOPH wallpaper!)
Do drop by Ia’s Stellify.net if you have the time!

My “Portfolio” (I hate calling it that) is a work in progress. If you mean I should update it already, then yeah, when I have time. I don’t feel like I have any!
Of course Qwerky isn’t personal!
Morena? I don’t know Risk’s gender. I really can’t tell!

I decided to call the PowerBook “Lisa.”
Congrats to you both! Black and white, huh? How contrasting.
Oh, “Lisa” also sports the Isulong SEOPH wallpaper. And I proudly showed it to my table-mates during the Isulong SEOPH awarding. Didn’t put that up on the Presaio (”PaqBook”), though. I thought it looked weird stretched on a widescreen.

Moreno then.
Ah, the heck with it. Both Risk and Corsarify are asexual beings. Hehe.

J, so, when’s the Lisa-Corsarify-Risk LAN party? Looking forward to it. Sino taya ng WiFi sa cafe?
The wallpaper also looks stretched here on my laptop. I think that’s because Ia made it 1024×768 only.

Ah, here’s a screencap:

Lisa probably can’t compete with your souped-up spec’d machines. She still sports a G3 for cryin’ out loud. But–as Risk’s owner said herself–a Mac is forever.
PaqBook’s probably a more worthy contender, though he (he? she?) still has some catching up with your 2+ GHz speeds.

A Mac is a Mac — am foaming at the mouth with envy!! J, next time, buy a souped-up notebook, and it will be our turn to buy Macs. Then our arsenals will be complete

J: *Blinks* I said that? Must’ve been drunk. (What?!)
C: Asexual? You called her her!
Risk is a higher being. Risk is risk. “Mokona wa Mokona!” Haha.

J, WP’s notification of new comments has been a bit tardy, hence I saw the screencap late. Purty! And the wallpaper really looks nice with an uncluttered desktop.
Ia, well…anyway, what’s that phrase? Jap? Care to elucidate upon it?

Mokona is Mokona. That’s how he refers to himself/itself/herself/Mokonaself.
Pic here; Info here.
(After researching I bumped into spoilers. Gah! I hope I forget them.)

Now, that’s a cute….thang? Being? Okay. I’ll just settle with cute Mokona. Hehe.
