SEO Contest: We Placed Fifth!

In my last entry, I talked about the Php 130,000 Philippine SEO Contest for the keyword Isulong SEOPH. Guess what? We placed fifth! Not worth much in monetary rewards, but still quite an achievement considering there were more than a hundred entries (or so I heard).

Congratulations to all the winners! A recap of the Isulong SEOPH Awarding Night can be found at the blog of my teammate J Angelo. (Ia Lucero, one-time guestwriter here, completes the, uh, stellar cast.)

Just one more thing before I scoot off to do some work: our Isulong SEOPH team is composed of three people, not one. (See our profiles here.) It kind of gets tiring to not hear yourself credited for all the hard work you’ve done. (So, what is it then? Glory? Heh.)

I wasn’t able to attend the awarding night due to illness (as usual, poor me). Well, it was probably for the better; who knows, I might’ve been persona incognita there. The recent months’ experience has instilled doubt in me — once we do get started with Go-Ogle! Philippines, will people even notice that there are three people in the team?

Update (Oct. 9): Official list of winners straight from Marc of SEO Philippines.

Postscript. It’s been a while since my last entry, thanks to a hard disk bad sector. Had to go to SM Cyberzone to properly backup my hard disk files and buy an external disk for future data redundancy.

I believe Marc Macalua fixed it already. :)

I, on the other hand, why people mistake the name “Ia” and “Sofimi” for a guy’s name.

Ah, I wasn’t even aware that there was a list of winners already! Hehe. I just came upon a number of blogs where the team members weren’t completely listed. Well, I guess one can’t fault them for that…after all, persona incognita and all…

Now that you mention something about names, I’m left amazed when people sometimes mistake “Kimpo” as my first name.
