A few days ago, our new airconditioner unit was installed in my bedroom-turned-home office, literally breathing fresh air into my work-from-home freelancing ‘career’.

I initially bought the aircon (yep, my first appliance unit purchase) to prevent potential overheating damage to my laptop. Funny thing is, Corsarify’s keys actually froze half an hour after the aircon was first turned on!

The resurrection of my main site has been a long time coming. Presenting Version 2.0 of Corsarius.net!

Finally, my growing collection of blogs and subdomains now has a central site. My first static main site came in the form of kimpo.fil.ph, which sadly went down when the host, Fil.ph, suddenly went off the air. Now, it’s back with a vengeance (hm, quite cliche!).

If you have the time, feel free to browse through Corsarius.net’s pages — don’t forget to leave your message in the guestbook! (Hey, guestbooks are not dead. Hehe.)

Finally, I’ve gotten my first iPod. Well, it’s not an iPod Video, just a silver nano, which is good enough for me (right now I don’t have any need for the vids). I refrained from buying an iPod for the longest time as I still had a Shiro MP3 Player to serve my music-on-the-go needs. But when the poor thang conked out (poor quality?), I resolved to jump into the iPod bandwagon.

Funny thing is, now that I’ve bought one, I want to replace it for a better gadget!

After almost nine years of putting up with dial-up connections, we’ve finally jumped ship and availed ourselves of BayanTel DSL’s 768 kbps plan. The DSL modem was installed just last Thursday, and now I’m happily torrenting away some good stuff (don’t ask me what).

This is one of those posts where you just want to talk about other people and their gadgets. Congrats to my dear friend and colleague Ia Lucero for finally getting herself a brand-new laptop, which she has christened Risk. Believe it or not, Ia bought her new toy while Typhoon Milenyo (Xangsane) was brutalizing the metropolis! Talk about risk, indeed.

In my last entry, I talked about the Php 130,000 Philippine SEO Contest for the keyword Isulong SEOPH. Guess what? We placed fifth! Not worth much in monetary rewards, but still quite an achievement considering there were more than a hundred entries (or so I heard).
