My Firefox is Crashing Like Hell
I’ve just updated to Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.4, and my browsing experience has gone haywire. Since last night, I’ve had about seven Firefox crashes and two sudden reboots while using the browser. And to think I’ve just gotten a clean reformat a month ago. What happened? Grrr.
I’ve just been reading the release notes for 1.5.0.4, and the only reasons I can think of right now are the extensions and themes I’ve installed. (Been using the sleek AbstractPC theme.) Right now I’ve turned them off and waiting to see if Firefox acts a lot better.
(I absolutely hate posting this entry, because Firefox is a browser I love and advocate. Oh well, I guess there’s really a thin line between love and hate!)

Love and hate. Sounds familiar. They go hand in hand, for hate is not exactly the opposite of love.

Angelo, right on! Btw, it seems that the problem’s shared by my memory cards (as I told you through SMS) and Firefox. Now using version 1.5.0.1, but in Safe Mode, and it looks okay (crosses fingers).

Maybe it’s the Firefox version. I’ve seen lots of complaints about the 1.5.x releases being much more crash-prone than the 1.x ones. Not sure about the stats either.

Ia, seems like it. It’s heart-rending — Firefox! Of all browsers! ::bawls::

Mbacarra, yes, I can imagine. Problems piling up on each other — never good.

Microsoft sent spies to join the Firefox development team to insert code that would crash Firefox on pirated Windoze copies.
RIAA did the same, too. Are you sure you don’t have bootlegged MP3s on your new hard drive?
I hear the Catholic Church did likewise, for those who incessantly download porn.
We will all burn in hell. Our Firefox-powered computers included!

Jangelo, that’s…brutal
Btw, I’ve tried Firefox in Safe Mode, and it still crashes from time. Using Opera now.
